Depatie Fluid Power Co. is seeking a General Machinist to join our versatile manufacturing team. You will work across CNC machines, manual lathes, milling, grinding, and other precision processes while supporting multiple departments.

The ideal candidate has a solid machining foundation, a willingness to learn, and pride in quality work. Candidates should be able to read blueprints, troubleshoot issues, and maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Machinist apprenticeship, vocational training, or equivalent hands-on machining experience preferred.
• Experience operating manual and/or CNC machining equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain CNC machines, manual lathes, milling machines, grinders, saws, and other precision equipment.
• Support multiple manufacturing departments based on production priorities.
• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Set up machines to produce precision components to specification.
• Monitor machining operations for efficiency, accuracy and quality.
• Inspect completed parts using measuring tools and verify against standards.
• Troubleshoot machining and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Assist with additional manufacturing tasks as needed.

In this role, you'll serve as a versatile machining professional, supporting multiple manufacturing departments based on business needs. You'll gain exposure to a wide variety of machining operations, including CNC machining, manual lathes, grinding, milling, drilling, and other precision manufacturing processes.

Requirements

What you'll do as a General Machinist, you will:

• Operate and maintain a variety of machining equipment including:
  • CNC machines
  • Manual lathes
  • Milling machines
  • grinders
  • Saws
  • Other precision manufacturing equipment
• Support multiple manufacturing departments based on production priorities.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
• Set up machines and equipment to produce precision components to specification.
• Monitor machining operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and quality.
• Inspect completed parts using measuring equipment and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot machining and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Assist with additional manufacturing tasks as business needs require.

Required Qualifications:

What we're looking for

• Machinist apprenticeship, vocational training, or equivalent hands-on machining experience.
• Experience operating manual and/or CNC machining equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documents.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Preferred experience with one or more of the following is a plus:

• CNC machining
• Manual lathe operation

• Precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges)
• Manufacturing or industrial production environments
