Job summary

STS Aerospace (Kreisler) in Elmwood Park, NJ is seeking Manufacturing Assemblers/Machine Operators to join the team. The role uses equipment such as cut off saws, deburring tools, tube trimmers, hand grinders and a vise to shape and size tubing and sheet metal assemblies.

Essential duties include following instructions, inspecting parts, maintaining clean work areas, and logging production requirements while working to achieve established production rates as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow instructions to perform job correctly.
• Take notes and refer to them to complete the job.
• Inspect parts to ensure no damage during processing.
• Keep tools, fixtures and work areas clean and organized.
• Perform daily/weekly maintenance on equipment.
• Shape and form tubes or sheet metal using hand tools.
• Ask questions when unsure of how to perform a task or when problems arise.
• Track and log production requirements.
• Achieve production rates established by the team.
• Assist teammates to achieve group goals.
• Solve problems and offer solutions as issues arise.
• Be a collaborative and courteous team member.

Job Description

STS Aerospace (Kreisler) in Elmwood Park, NJ is looking for Manufacturing Assemblers/Machine Operators to join the team. Employee utilizes equipment, such as cut off saws, deburring tools, tube trimmers, hand grinders and vise, to shape and size tubing and sheet metal assemblies. Tubing and sheet metal assemblies to be sized using an assembly fixture or jig.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reading and/or following instructions required to perform job correctly
• Take notes and refer to them in the future to complete the job
• Inspect parts to assure they are not damaged or not being damaged during processing
• Keep tools, fixtures and work areas clean and organized
• Sweeping, cleaning and performing maintenance on certain equipment required daily or weekly.
• Shape and form tubes or sheet metal components using hand tools such as a vise, hammer or bar.
• Stop and ask questions when not sure of how to do a job or when a problem occurs
• Track and log production requirements
• Achieve production rates (i.e. number of cuts per hour) established by the production team
• Assist other team members, when necessary, to achieve team goals
• Solve problems and/or offer solutions to problems when they arise
• Be part of team and have the ability to work well among them
• Be helpful and courteous to others
