Premier Insurance Defense Firm in Charleston, SC seeks a General Liability Defense Attorney to manage a diverse caseload from inception to resolution. You will provide aggressive advocacy for insurers and insureds, draft motions, conduct discovery, and lead trials.

The ideal candidate holds a J.D. from an ABA-accredited school, is admitted to the South Carolina Bar, and has civil litigation experience focused on insurance defense or general liability. North Carolina licensure is a plus.

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school required.
• Active license to practice law in South Carolina required; North Carolina licensure a plus.
• Proven experience in civil litigation with focus on insurance defense or general liability.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation for general liability, automobile, and premises liability matters.
• Draft and argue substantive motions, pleadings, and appellate briefs.
• Conduct extensive discovery, including taking and defending expert and 30(b)(6) depositions.
• Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and arbitrations throughout South Carolina.
• Prepare for and lead trials, maintaining high courtroom standards.
