Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. (QPWB) invites an attorney to join our General Liability Defense team. This full-time role offers mentorship, collaboration, and long-term growth within a nationwide, minority- and women-owned firm.

The attorney will conduct thorough legal research, draft pleadings, manage cases, interact with clients, and support senior attorneys while meeting billable-hour targets and contributing to firm initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–10 years of experience as an attorney.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal general liability defense laws.

Responsibilities

• Conducts thorough legal research and drafts pleadings, motions, and other documents under the guidance of senior attorneys or partners.
• Assists in preparing cases for hearings, trials, mediations, and depositions, ensuring documentation is organized and complete.
• Maintains client communication to provide updates, gather information, and address concerns in a professional manner.
• Handles discovery requests, reviews documents, and assists with interrogatories and depositions.
• Appears in court for routine motions, hearings, or minor trials under supervision.
• Advises clients on legal rights, obligations, and risks, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Collaborates with senior attorneys, paralegals, and staff to execute legal strategies.
• Meets billable-hour targets through efficient case management and prioritization of tasks.
• Participates in continuing legal education (CLE) to stay current with legal trends.
• Demonstrates dedication to the firm's mission, values, and growth.
