Job summary

Ave Staffing LLC is seeking a General Liability Defense Attorney for Mt. Pleasant/Charleston, SC. The role offers high autonomy with direct courtroom access and a clear partnership trajectory.

You will handle the full litigation lifecycle across multiple liability sectors, with opportunities to lead depositions, motions, and oral arguments. Ideal candidates have at least 3 years in civil litigation and hold an active SC bar license.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage full litigation lifecycle with autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Manage full litigation lifecycle for general liability, premises liability, construction defect, and complex commercial casualty cases in state and federal courts in SC.
• Take strategic depositions of plaintiffs and experts, draft dispositive motions, and argue orally.
• Provide concise evaluation reports to insurance claims examiners and maintain file autonomy.

Our client, a leading South Carolina civil defense firm, is expanding its team in the Mt. Pleasant area due to sustained client growth. Known for its low turnover and robust administrative backing, the firm offers ambitious litigators direct courtroom access, manageable partnership tracks, and complete file autonomy backed by regional resources.

You will manage the full litigation life cycle for general liability, premises liability, construction defect, and complex commercial casualty files across South Carolina state and federal courts. Daily responsibilities include taking strategic depositions of plaintiffs and experts, drafting dispositive motions, conducting oral arguments, and delivering concise evaluation reports to insurance claims examiners.
