Base Salary range of $150,000–$180,000 Plus Bonus

Hybrid - Iselin, NJ

Based in Iselin, NJ, we are a multidisciplinary law firm known for its client-focused approach collaborative culture and commitment to delivering practical results. The General Liability defense team is expanding and seeking an experienced NY/NJ Associate Attorney to join a growing team handling sophisticated general liability defense matters across New Jersey and New York. This role is ideal for a seasoned litigator who values courtroom work substantive motion practice and long-term professional stability within a supportive firm environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new files manage client communications and oversee discovery production while researching and preparing legal memoranda on various areas of law with accuracy and efficiency
• Prepare and argue discovery motions and draft substantive dispositive pre and post-trial motions and appeals across active general liability defense matters in both New Jersey and New York
• Attend pretrial listings court appearances and trials while independently managing a high-volume litigation caseload across multiple practice areas and jurisdictions
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff on case strategy while delivering timely practical and client-focused legal guidance throughout all phases of representation

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA-approved law school with active New York Bar admission in good standing required; New Jersey Bar admission preferred
• 6+ years of New York General Liability litigation experience required; New Jersey General Liability litigation experience preferred; experience in commercial motor vehicle defense UM/UIM premises liability construction accident and product liability preferred; trial experience preferred
• Strong organizational communication and time management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced high-volume environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 ProLaw Excel and e-document management software preferred with strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently and collaboratively across jurisdictions
