Job summary

Luma Energy in Puerto Rico seeks an accounting professional to maintain accurate financial records, perform reconciliations, and support monthly close. You will analyze financial data, ensure internal controls, and assist with ERP initiatives in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Accounting and 3–5 years of related experience; CPA preferred. The role offers opportunities to contribute to audits, process improvements, and financial reporting

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
3–5 years in financial records, close processes, audits, ERP initiatives.
Experience with general ledger accounting, month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Experience analyzing financial data and preparing account analysis and reports.
Experience working with documents, policies, SOP creation and implementation.
Experience leading or collaborating with small projects.
Experience as matter-expert and asset to internal/external clients.

Responsibilities

Maintains accurate and complete financial records by preparing general ledger entries and reconciliations.
Analyzes financial data to identify trends and variances for reliable reporting.
Supports month-end and year-end close processes and improves close timeliness.
Ensures compliance with US GAAP, internal controls, and company policies.
Contributes to documentation and improvements of accounting procedures.
Supports external audits with required documentation and coordination.
