Job summary

Amphenol IPC (AIPC) seeks a General Ledger Accountant to support month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This on-site role is based in Endicott, NY and requires strong attention to detail and solid accounting fundamentals.

You will process customer invoicing, review supplier invoices, and maintain general ledger reconciliations, while supporting audits and process improvements. Mandarin is a plus but not required, and sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP is preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process customer invoicing accurately and in a timely manner.
• Review and process supplier receipts and invoices.
• Prepare and maintain general ledger account reconciliations.
• Review and approve banking transactions.
• Crosstrain on functions performed by other finance team members to provide backup support as needed.
• Assist with audits and respond to auditor requests.
• Proactively investigate and resolve discrepancies, including incomplete or inconsistent data and missing source documentation.
• Assist with the preparation and analysis of schedules for monthly Operations Reports, annual Tax Packages, and semi-annual Hard Close activities.
• Support special reporting and analysis requests from Corporate.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and internal controls.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant to support the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records. This position is based on-site in Endicott, NY and is not eligible for remote work. This role is responsible for key accounting functions including month-end close activities, invoices, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. The General Ledger Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant financial statements, while also supporting audits and contributing to ongoing process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, and/or equivalent education.
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles and procedures.
• Knowledge of international accounting practices is preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP is preferred.
• Ability to read and speak Mandarin is a plus but not required.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and functions.
• High attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure and manage frequent interruptions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
