Job summary

Amphenol IPC (AIPC) seeks a meticulous General Ledger Accountant to ensure accurate financial records at our Endicott, NY on-site facility. The role focuses on month-end close activities, invoicing, reconciliations, and financial reporting, contributing to audits and process improvements.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong Excel skills, GA knowledge, and attention to detail, with capability to work under pressure and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, and/or equivalent education.
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles and procedures.
• Knowledge of international accounting practices is preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP is preferred.
• Ability to read and speak Mandarin is a plus but not required.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and functions.
• High attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure and manage frequent interruptions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Responsibilities

• Process customer invoicing accurately and in a timely manner.
• Review and process supplier receipts and invoices.
• Prepare and maintain general ledger account reconciliations.
• Review and approve banking transactions.
• Crosstrain on functions performed by other finance team members to provide backup support as needed.
• Assist with annual audits and respond to auditor requests.
• Proactively investigate and resolve discrepancies, including incomplete or inconsistent data and missing source documentation.
• Assist with the preparation and analysis of schedules for monthly Operations Reports, annual Tax Packages, and semi-annual Hard Close activities.
• Support special reporting and analysis requests from Corporate.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and internal controls.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant to support the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records. This position is based on-site in Endicott, NY and is not eligible for remote work.
