Job summary

PIE Operating, LLC is seeking an experienced General Ledger Accountant to join our finance team in Spring, Texas. This role ensures the integrity of the general ledger, handles journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, and reporting, and supports audits.

You will work with ERP systems, maintain the chart of accounts, analyze balance sheets, and collaborate with AP, AR, Payroll, and FP&A to deliver accurate financial statements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and adjusting entries.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes within established deadlines.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain and monitor the chart of accounts for accuracy and consistency.
• Prepare general ledger account analyses and supporting schedules.
• Assist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations (if applicable).
• Support external and internal audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency in close and reconciliation processes.
• Collaborate with AP, AR, Payroll, and FP&A teams to ensure accurate financial data.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reporting packages.
• Support fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules, and related reconciliations (if applicable).

PIE Operating is looking for an experienced General Ledger Accountant to join our finance team. This role owns the integrity of the general ledger — from journal entries and reconciliations through month-end close and reporting — and plays a key part in keeping our financial records accurate, timely, and audit-ready.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5–10 years of progressive general ledger or accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accrual-basis accounting
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines during close cycles
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
• CPA or CPA-track a plus, not required

Preferred Experience

• Multi-entity or multi-location accounting experience
• Experience supporting external audits
• Experience with system implementations or process automation
