Job summary

Xtreme Aviation in Miami, FL is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to own the integrity of the general ledger, post journal entries, and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes in a fast-paced environment. • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis).
• Strong analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the integrity of the general ledger across all accounts.
• Prepare and post journal entries including accruals, prepaids, reclasses, and adjustments.
• Play a key role in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Partner with auditors by preparing schedules, documentation, and responses.
• Strengthen internal controls and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Analyze financial data to uncover insights and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with AP, AR, payroll, and operations teams.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation (as applicable).
