Job summary

RISE Association Management Group in Houston, TX is seeking an entry-level General Ledger Accountant to support daily financial operations, post journal entries, and assist with the month-end close in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

This role offers growth in a fast-paced, supportive environment with responsibilities including reconciliations, financial reporting, audits support, and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or in progress).
• 0–2 years accounting or relevant internship experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and posting of journal entries.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations.
• Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.

General Ledger Accountant

Location: 3131 Eastside Street, Houston, TX 77098

Pay Range: $50,000 - $55,000

Employment Status: Full-Time

The General Ledger Accountant I is an entry‑level role responsible for supporting the accounting team with daily financial operations. This position will assist with maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, and supporting the month‑end close process.
