Our client in Atlanta is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced General Ledger Accountant for a long-term contract role. This position plays a vital role in ensuring accurate financial records and supporting overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities

Reviews and enters invoices, purchase orders, payment vouchers, and similar records of transactions in an automated financial/accounting system.
Managing heavy reconciliations to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial records.
Preparing financial statements in compliance with applicable standards.
Assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities.

Qualifications

3-5 years in a General Accounting role with heavy reconciliations.
Demonstrated experience maintaining integrity of Balance Sheet
Proficiency with General Ledger and Journal Entries
Strong ERP & Excel skills, including pivot tables and Vlookups, for data analysis and reporting.
