Job summary

AEG is seeking a General Laborer under the Facilities & Maintenance team to support day-to-day upkeep, minor repairs, cleaning, and general construction tasks at venues. You will work under the Maintenance Manager and help ensure safe, clean, and functional facilities during events.

Requirements include a High School Diploma and 0–2 years of related experience; candidates must be able to lift over 50 lbs, operate pallet jacks or a forklift, and be available holidays, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or its equivalency.
• 0–2 years of related work experience.
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull over 50 lbs.
• Able to operate a manual / powered pallet jack or forklift.
• Able to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform general facility maintenance as delegated by the Maintenance Manager, including repairing equipment and furniture and general landscaping.
• Perform custodial tasks, cleaning, painting, mopping, and restocking supplies.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in line with safety and sanitation rules.
• Assist with projects using hand tools to work with fiberglass materials.
• Check meters and gauges to verify operation conditions.
• Set up and configure furniture for events and improve facility functionality.
• Assist with repairing and adjusting electrical, HVAC, and related systems.

A Brief Overview

Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the General Laborer will support the Facilities & Maintenance team by assisting with the day-to-day upkeep, maintenance, and general construction tasks at AEG facilities and venues while maintaining a safe work environment. The responsibilities include but are not limited to performing minor repairs, polishing and cleaning, recording meters and gauges, moving items, general landscaping and etc.

What you will do

• Perform general facility maintenance as delegated by the Maintenance Manager including repairing equipment and furniture, assembling and moving equipment and furniture, and general landscaping, while reporting any major repairs to management.
• Perform general custodial tasks like plumbing, cleaning and polishing furniture and fixtures, painting, mopping, sweeping, replenishing supplies, and disposing of trash.
• Maintain orderly and clean work area in compliance with Company safety and sanitation requirements.
• Assist with projects safely using hand tools to cut, shape, splice and fit fiberglass materials.
• Check and record information from meters and gauges to verify operation conditions are appropriate.
• Set-up and configure furniture according to floorplans to aid to the functionality of facility events.
• Assist with repairing and adjusting electrical, air conditioning and central cooling, ventilation, and heating systems.

Payscale: $20-$25

Bonus: This position is not eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
