Starflex Fabrication is seeking a dependable, hardworking General Laborer to support our sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on position working in a fast-paced production environment.The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, willing to learn, and comfortable performing a variety of manufacturing and material-handling tasks. Previous manufacturing or metal fabrication experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who has a strong work ethic and positive attitude.ResponsibilitiesAssist with general sheet metal fabrication and production activitiesLoad, unload, move, and stage raw materials, work-in-process, and finished partsAssist with laser-cut part removal, sorting, and organizationDeburr, grind, sand, and clean fabricated metal partsAssist with material handling and preparation for downstream operationsSeparate and identify parts according to routers and production paperworkAssist Press Brake, Welding, Powder Coating, Assembly, and other departments as neededOperate basic hand tools, power tools, grinders, sanders, and other shop equipment after trainingMaintain organized work areas and properly store tools and materialsPerform general shop cleanup and housekeeping dutiesFollow established safety procedures and wear required PPEInspect parts for obvious damage or defects and report concerns to supervisionFollow instructions from supervisors and production leadsPerform other production-related duties as assignedQualificationsPrevious manufacturing, fabrication, warehouse, or industrial experience preferredSheet metal fabrication experience is a plusAbility to safely use basic hand and power toolsAbility to read a tape measure preferredBasic mechanical aptitudeAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamDependable attendance and punctuality are requiredWillingness to learn multiple areas of the manufacturing operationPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsAbility to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, and pull throughout the shiftAbility to regularly lift and carry up to 50 poundsAbility to work safely around manufacturing equipment, moving material, noise, dust, and typical shop conditionsAbility to wear required personal protective equipmentWork ScheduleMonday–Thursday6:00 AM–4:30 PMFour 10-hour shifts with Fridays normally off.
