Job summary

Morton Salt is seeking a General Laborer to perform a variety of manual tasks inside and outside the facility, with shifts across the plant and frequent physical activity. You will support sanitation, loading, and basic maintenance while maintaining safety and housekeeping standards.

The role requires endurance in varying temperatures, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with potential overtime and different shifts. Training will cover forklift/loader operation and general plant procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, vacuum, mop floors and clean facilities.
• Load and unload supplies and materials.
• Shovel salt and perform basic cutting tasks.
• Assist mechanics and operate basic tools.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in all areas.
