Job summary

South Central FS, Inc. is seeking a reliable general laborer to support internal and external customer needs at our Illinois location. You will perform a variety of tasks that keep operations running safely and efficiently, including handling, loading, and basic maintenance.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work extended hours when needed. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package including medical, pension, life insurance, PTO

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work extended hours when needed.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Record data according to regulations and standards.
• Set up material handling, blending, storage, and transport for product delivery.
• Perform daily safety checks of equipment as required.
• Load and unload containers, pallets, or materials safely.
• Ensure proper axle weights and even distribution on trucks.
• Communicate effectively with customers.
• Maintain inventory of parts for repairs and maintenance.
• Keep shop and equipment clean and maintained.
• Follow EHS, OSHA and DOT policies at all times.
• Assist with repair and maintenance of equipment at location.
• All other duties as assigned.
