Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Illinois is seeking a production-oriented team member responsible for delivering a quality product that meets customer and regulatory requirements. You will communicate with the supervisor, follow safety and QA training, and maintain a clean, safe work area.

You will assist teammates, perform at line pace, and adhere to GMPs and USDA guidelines while reporting any food safety or quality issues to supervision or QA. Other duties as assigned in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills necessary.
• Hard working, dependable, safety conscious and team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Produce a quality product meeting customer and regulatory requirements.

Job description

• Responsible for the production of a quality product that meets all customer and regulatory requirements.


• Effectively communicates as required with supervisor.


• Follows specific directions, fully understand the training on safety, QA and USDA rules.


• Maintains the work area clean and safe at all times.


• Assists other employees and Supervisor when requested.


• Performs with the best effort as indicated by the production line’s pace.


• Adhere to all GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices), such as good hand washing practices and adhering to the employee hygiene plan.


• Follow all USDA guidelines


• Report any issues regarding food safety or quality to supervision and/or quality assurance


• Comply with customer requirements when applicable.


• Responsible for upholding, following and maintaining the requirements of the SQF Food Safety Code for Manufacturing.


• Other duties as may be assigned or volunteered for.
