Objective / Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to maintain a clean and safe working environment for all staff and visitors across the campus.

Areas of Responsibility / Tasks

Performance must reflect appropriate expertise and achievement of desired results in the following areas:

General:

• Maintain cleanliness by emptying trash and recycling bins, tidying furniture, dusting surfaces, and removing debris on facility grounds.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, and perform sweeping and mopping.
• Remove dirt and markings from interior and exterior surfaces.
• Ensure proper functioning of cleaning equipment.
• Maintain a clean workspace.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance & Safety Supervisor.

Inventory Management:

• Notify the supervisor when supplies need replenishment.

Safety:

• Follow safety protocols for cleaning, lifting, moving, and operating equipment.
• Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company policies.
• Report near-misses and potential risks.

Minimum Qualifications / Education / Certifications

• GED or two years of related experience/training preferred.
• Ability to maintain and operate cleaning machinery.
• Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Work Environment / Conditions

Work may involve shared spaces, constant noise, and exposure to outside weather conditions. Occasional work at heights up to 75 feet. Schedules may vary and exceed 40 hours per week without notice.

Physical Requirements / Demands

Regularly required to talk and hear. Must be active, involving bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. Travel may be required. Must frequently lift over 30 pounds. Injuries must be reported immediately. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.
