Position Summary

This position contributes to the production team, ensuring safety and efficiency while meeting company policies. The Production Crew processes vehicles to produce core and scrap products, supports customer parts retrieval, and complies with environmental standards.

Essential Functions

1. Follow company policies and procedures, setting an example for the team.
2. Perform garbage removal, including Freon, fluids, batteries, and waste, as per procedures.
3. Drain fluids such as gasoline, coolant, and oil, and remove catalytic converters.
4. Assist in setting and pulling vehicles for parts, including safety and cleanup.
5. Loosen mounts, remove tires, and harvest core items.
6. Remove heater cores, copper wire, and maintain the crush pad for environmental compliance.
7. Dismantle engines and transmissions, sort materials, and harvest wires.
8. Use tire machines to separate tires and wheels, and prepare rims for shipment.
9. Collect and harvest dismantled materials, remove debris, and ensure safety.
10. Assist customers courteously, complete logs, and maintain storm water controls.

Qualifications

• Ability to wear PPE and follow safety practices.
• Follow verbal and written instructions, understanding safety labels.
• Complete safety, environmental, and conduct training.
• Work required hours, including weekends, holidays, and OT.
• Work efficiently in various weather conditions.
• Experience in automotive repair/dismantling and with tools is preferred but not required.

Physical Activities

• Stand, walk, bend, and stretch regularly.
• Handle tools and move up to 50 pounds.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and safety.
• Work on feet for full shifts.

Work Conditions

• Exposure to outdoor weather.
• Occasional chemical hazards.
