General Summary/Essential Purpose

This position is responsible for performing tasks that involve physical labor at our Jacksonville, Florida warehouse site. This position may also assist other craft workers in their duties, while also moving materials and equipment, loading containers, fabricating pallets. Seeking a certified fork lift operator. Willing to consider someone willing to take classes and become certified. This is all to be done using the appropriate equipment and implementing the required safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift to move, stack, load and unload construction materials. Inspect product load for accuracy and safely move it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete delivery.
• Manually or mechanically load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles.
• Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, or boxes and secure material or products for transport to designated areas.
• Perform general labor in the construction materials yard
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

EDUCATION And EXPERIENCE

A high school diploma or GED is the preferred minimum formal education for this position.

One or more years (or equivalent) as a general laborer at a materials yard or construction site preferred.

1 year experience as a forklift driver preferred; Training can be provided.

Spanish-English bilingual skills desirable.CDL is a plus.
