General Laborer - (East Grand Forks, MN)

Job Responsibilities

• Visually inspect equipment, trucks, and trailers for safe operation
• Operate vehicles, track mobiles, screen plants, unload conveyors, radial stackers, skid steers, and stationary equipment
• Aid in site clean-up and maintenance
• Maintain logs and inspection records for equipment
• Follow all safety rules set by M-Bar-D & American Crystal Sugar at the site and factories
• Keep coal, limestone, and coke free of contaminants for delivery to storage or stockpile
• Constantly watch for moving equipment and hazards to ensure safety
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Visual and auditory acuity
• Ability to walk on uneven surfaces, climb in and out of equipment
• Heavy lifting up to 25 pounds, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, balancing, climbing
• Wear protective gear such as hard hats, hearing protection, safety-toe boots, and safety glasses

• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, coal dust, silica dust, gasoline, and fuel vapors

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid Driver’s License preferred
• Ability to work in high dust environments with PPE
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Proven math, reading, and writing skills
• Ability to complete pre-employment testing required by Holland L.P.
