Job summary

JW Hicks, Inc. in Merrillville, Indiana is hiring General Laborers/Production Workers. This is a Monday–Friday day shift with some overtime on Saturdays.

You will support refractory product production by operating mixers, casting/pressing, and firing in kilns while keeping accurate records in the ERP system. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to lift 50 lbs, a positive attitude, and passing a post-off/pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operate mixers and add minor ingredients for casting/pressing.
• Cast, press or finish product.
• Operate ovens (ovens) or kilns to dry and fire product.
• Maintain raw material and product identification; record data into ERP system.
• Operate forklifts and overhead crane to move materials and work in progress.
