Job summary

JW Hicks, Inc. in Knox, Indiana is seeking Production Workers for 2nd and 3rd shifts to join our growing team. The 2nd shift runs Monday-Thursday with afternoon/evening hours, while the 3rd shift runs Sunday-Thursday overnight with occasional overtime on Fridays.

Responsibilities include operating mixers, demolding, casting/finishing products, and handling ovens/kilns. Candidates must lift 50 lbs, have a high school diploma, and pass a post-offer physical and drug screen.

• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials.

Requirements

Production Worker (Laborer) Job Responsibilities:

• Operate mixers and add minor ingredients to prepare mixes for casting/pressing
• Demold parts and reassemble molds for next day
• Cast, press or finish product
• Operate ovens and kilns to dry and fire product
• Finish refractory pieces
• Maintain raw material and product identification and record data into ERP system
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials and work in progress

Production Worker Qualifications

• Good "hands on" skills with reasonable mechanical aptitude
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. consistently throughout shift
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment physical and drug screen prior to employment

Base wage from $17-$20 an hour plus $1.25 shift differential

Summary
