Job summary

PrideStaff is seeking dependable General Laborers to join our client in Angleton, TX for a 6+ month assignment building small concrete formations and pathways for underground electrical lines and conduit installations.

Position requires experience in concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing. Spanish speakers are highly preferred; hours are Mon-Fri 7AM–5PM with 10-hour shifts, paid breaks, and weather-dependent weekends.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of recent experience in manual labor or construction.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects and work outdoors in Texas weather.
• 18+ years old and authorized to work in the U.S.; background check/drug screening if required.
• Spanish speakers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Form and build small concrete pads to house electrical canisters and lighting
• Clear work areas of debris, rocks, roots, and obstructions before and after digging.
• Assist with placing, laying, and pulling electrical conduit or lines in excavated trenches.
• Backfill trenches and compact soil using shovels or small mechanical compactors following code and safety specifications.
• Load, unload, and organize construction materials, hand tools, and safety equipment at the job site.

Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday, 7AM to 5PM+. 10 hr shifts w/ paid lunch and breaks. Weekends as needed. Weather dependent.

Pay Rate: $17.75/hr

Location: Angleton, TX

This position is primarily responsible for building small concrete formations and pathways for underground electrical lines and conduit installations. • Experience: Previous experience in manual labor, construction, landscaping, or trenching is highly preferred. Candidates with a strong work ethic can be trained.
• Physical Demands: Must be physically capable of performing heavy, repetitive manual labor (digging, lifting, bending, kneeling) in outdoor environments for extended periods.
• Environment: Ability to work outside in varying Texas weather conditions (heat, dust, cold, rain).
• Tools: Ability to safely use and maintain standard construction hand tools.
• Reliability: Strong attendance record and dependable transportation to the office or designated job sites.
• Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the U.S. Must submit to a background check and drug screening if required by project sites.
• Bilingual: Fluency in speaking and understanding English and Spanish is highly desired
