Job summary

U-Haul International, Inc. in Glendale, AZ is seeking a Production Worker to support the production line by moving parts and materials and helping teammates sustain efficient workflow on the line.

You will remove parts from storage, assist machine operators with loading/unloading parts, and may operate a drill press as needed, while following housekeeping, safety and quality policies. Strong English communication is required and basic measurement tests will be used during training.

Production Worker Primary Responsibilities:

• Remove parts from material storage system
• Assist Machine Operators in loading and unloading machine parts
• Occasionally operate drill press
• Understand, support, and implement the company Housekeeping, Safety and Quality policies and procedures

Production Worker Minimum Qualifications:

• Able to communicate in English
• Able to pass measurement and fraction/decimal conversion tests

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g. working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing, or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors of remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.
