Job summary

ASC Engineered Solutions in Greencastle, PA is seeking a General Laborer for the 2nd shift to maintain a clean and organized facility and perform a variety of duties. This role includes floor cleaning, area prep for maintenance, and basic material handling.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts, painting, assisting maintenance mechanics, and following supervisor instructions. You will stand/walk much of your shift and lift up to 50 pounds as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Requires passing a forklift driving test.
• Self-sufficient and highly motivated.

Responsibilities

• Empty trash cans and recycling containers.
• Clean floors using powered and non-powered equipment throughout facilities.
• Operate stand-up or sit-down lift and perform daily safety checks.
• Change batteries in lift and assist maintenance mechanics as needed.
• Clean out machine bottoms and prep areas for maintenance.
• Paint rails, guards and other structures as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

General Laborer (2nd Shift)

Department: Manufacturing & Distribution - General Labor

Reporting To: Rob Monninger

Compensation: $18.80 / hour

Description

The General Laborer will assist with maintaining the facility in a clean and organized manner.

The General Laborer will perform a variety of duties to include, but not limited to, Cleaning and scraping of floors and aisle; Prepare and clean-up work areas for maintenance mechanics; Clean out machine bottoms; Empty recycling containers and trash cans; Operate forklift(s); Paint as needed; and follow verbal and/or written orders of the supervisor and/or manager.

How You Will Help

• Empty trash cans and recycling containers
• Clean floors by the use of powered and non-powered equipment and/or tools, this includes in the Manufacturing building, outside at chip trailers and any other area deemed needing cleaned by a Supervisor or Manager
• Operate stand-up or sit down lift
• Change batteries in lift, and perform routine maintenance and daily safety checks on forklift
• Clean out machine bottoms
• Assist Maintenance Mechanics as needed, to include preparing and cleaning-up work areas
• Paint, such as rails, guards, pole, etc.
• Constant standing and walking throughout assigned shift
• Perform elevated work from a scissor lift and/or man lift
• Requires reaching at shoulder level
• Requires twisting, pushing, pulling, stooping, bending and climbing
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds several times a day
• Perform other duties as assigned
