Job summary

Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring General Laborers for a poultry hatchery in Jackson, MN. In this temporary role, you will rotate through Egg Setting, Chick Processing, Chick Transfer, and Sanitation, supporting daily hatchery operations and helping maintain production and sanitation standards.

The schedule runs 6:00am–3:00pm, Monday–Friday, with weekly pay and on-the-job training. Entry-level candidates are welcome; prior farming or production experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for 8–10 hour shifts on concrete surfaces.
• Lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work early morning hours starting around 6:00 AM.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Rotate between Egg Setting, Chick Processing, Chick Transfer, and Sanitation departments.
• Handle and process day-old chicks following welfare and safety guidelines.
• Apply vaccines and assist with chick sorting and gender identification.
