Job summary

State Heat Treating Company in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a shop assistant to perform daily material handling tasks, load/unload, deliver parts, and assist in machine setup.

The role requires lifting up to 35 pounds, standing and walking, and maintaining clean work areas; shift is Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Pay scale is $16.00 - $18.00 per hour with benefits after 90 days including medical, dental, vision, 401K, sick time and PTO.

Qualifications

• Loads and unloads materials, parts, or products onto or from pallets, skids, conveyors, or trucks.
• Delivers parts or stock to designated work areas.
• Lifts metal part or stock onto machine and secures it on machine table, in chuck, or holding fixture to assist in setting up machine.
• Cleans around work areas.
