Job summary

Miniat is hiring a General Laborer for 1st shift in Carrollton, GA. The role involves preparing and packaging raw product for cooking, following product process specifications, and maintaining quality and safety standards on the production floor.

Responsibilities include loading product on racks, moving racks to cook areas, and ensuring compliance with GMP/HACCP procedures while supporting a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• One to three years related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Able to speak, read and write English; preferred.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and USDA regulations preferred.
• Basic computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
• Able to work overtime and weekends as needed.

• Produces product by following product process specifications and packaging requirements (machining processes such as tenderizing, tumbling, cutting, slicing, bagging, weighing, sealing).
• Prepares product for next process by manually loading product on racks; moving racks to cook area.
• Maintains operational workflow by following procedures; advising supervisor of irregularities.
• Maintains quality standards by verifying weights and inspecting product throughout process.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Contributes to team effort by performing other duties as assigned and needed.
• Follow established plant wide Good Manufacturing Procedures.
• Inspect equipment & utensils for sanitary conditions; inspect product for signs of foreign material contamination.

• Push racks of products weighing up to 800 lbs. as needed

• 100% of day spent on work floor in temperatures of 40˚ +/-
