Job Description

Pay: $18.61/hr

Location: Pen Argyl, PA

Shift: Tues-Fri 5:30 am - 5:30 pm

Duties and Responsibilities

• Complete examination of finished product by checking height, shape, color, and consistency according to company standards and applicable systems.
• Perform block checks, remove defective pieces, and replace with quality pieces. Tasks vary by line and product.
• Complete packaging, including adding packaging materials, top sheet, labels, and final quality control on the skid before sending to the yard.
• Assist machine operators and support various processes such as pallet repair, general maintenance, yard support, and other duties as directed.
• Follow established policies and procedures to ensure QA standards are met or exceeded.
• Maintain a clean workstation and assist with plant cleanup.
• Wear personal protective equipment and behave safely.
• Follow lockout/tagout and safety procedures.
• Align behavior with Techo-Bloc's vision, mission, and values.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Abilities

• Ability to read and understand simple instructions and correspondence.
• Ability to write simple memos and communicate effectively on the shop floor.
• Ability to operate machinery (not machine operator level).
• Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide.
• Reasoning and common sense application.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to multitask.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• One year of manufacturing experience (preferred).

Physical Requirements

The physical demands include frequently transporting items up to 75 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds. Must be able to inspect materials and identify color variances among multiple colors. The role involves moving throughout the workstations, ascending/descending steps and ladders, and working in tight spaces. Reaching, talking, and hearing are also required.
