Job summary

Landmark Aquatic in Tempe, AZ is hiring General Laborers to support our construction and renovation projects. You’ll assist with site layout, measurements, excavation, plumbing, concrete placement, rigging and installation as part of a skilled team.

We seek reliable workers with at least one year of construction experience, valid driver's license, and the ability to travel out of town. Safety is essential, and familiarity with hand and power tools helps. Apprenticeship is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• One year of construction experience is required.
• Must be able to travel out of town and work out of town.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Able to meet physical demands (standing, lifting up to 80 pounds).
• Background and drug screening required; random testing may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site layout, measurement, excavation, plumbing, backfilling, forming, and concrete placement.
• Use construction tools to complete daily tasks.
• Safely operate tools including pressure washers, jackhammers, drills, saws, grinders.
• Safely operate heavy equipment.
• Help set up and transfer temporary structures (e.g., scaffolding).
• Follow safety regulations and wear PPE.

The General Laborer Job Responsibilities

We are looking for skilled, reliable General Laborers with a strong work ethic who are eager to learn our unique construction/renovation process from our talented team and grow with our company.

• Assist with site layout, measurement, excavation, plumbing, backfilling, forming, steel tying, concrete placement, rigging, and installation.
• Use construction and maintenance tools and equipment to complete daily tasks.
• Safely operate a variety of tools, including pressure washers, jackhammers, drills, saws, grinders, and various hand tools
• Safely operate heavy equipment
• Help with setting up and transferring temporary structures (e.g., scaffolding)
• Follow all safety regulations and ensure proper PPE is worn.
• Perform other duties and assignments as directed by management.

Requirements

• MUST HAVE one (1) year of construction experience.
• Must be able to regularly travel and work out of town.
• Must be able to utilize air transportation.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Prompt and punctual attendance at the shop or job site is required.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (e.g. standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 80 pounds etc.)
• Pass background and drug screening
• Be able to pass a drug test and be subject to random drug testing.
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and machinery
• Communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to safety rules
• Apprenticeship or specialization is an asset but not necessary
