Job summary

TeleSearch Staffing Solutions is seeking a dependable General Laborer in Sparta, NJ to support our MRO team with maintenance, inventory, and general facility upkeep. You will assist technicians, handle tools and materials, and help ensure a safe, clean work environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic tool knowledge, and at least one year of related experience. Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; temp-to-perm potential; pay range $18–$24 per hour.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and facility systems.
• Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble equipment under supervision.
• Retrieve, organize, and stage tools, parts, and materials for projects.
• Assist with installation, relocation, and setup of machinery and assets.
• Perform basic tasks: lubrication, painting, cleaning, minor repairs.
• Maintain organized MRO inventory, including parts and tools.
• Receive, stock, label, and distribute maintenance materials.
• Monitor inventory levels and notify when replenishment is needed.
• Keep storage areas clean and accessible for quick material access.

This role is responsible for assisting with facility maintenance, equipment repairs, inventory management, and general facility upkeep. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance technicians with preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and facility systems.
• Support equipment disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and reassembly under supervision.
• Retrieve, organize, and stage tools, parts, and materials for maintenance projects.
• Assist with the installation, relocation, and setup of machinery, equipment, and facility assets.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks, including lubrication, painting, cleaning, and minor repairs.
• Organize and maintain MRO inventory, including spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies.
• Receive, stock, label, and distribute maintenance materials and equipment.
• Monitor inventory levels and notify management when replenishment is needed.
• Maintain clean, organized storage areas to ensure efficient access to materials.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical or vocational training is a plus.
• Minimum of one (1) year of related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn maintenance-related skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and reach throughout the workday.
• Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally push or move equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
