Calumet Armature Electric is seeking a dependable General Laborer to support daily shop operations in a fast-paced industrial setting. You will assist with a variety of tasks, operate hand and power tools, and help with the disassembly/assembly of mechanical equipment.

• Perform basic mechanical tasks under supervision
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety standards
• Assist with material handling including moving parts and staging materials
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Inspect tools and equipment for proper condition
• Support other departments to meet production goals

This role is responsible for assisting with a variety of shop tasks including equipment handling, basic mechanical work, and the use of hand and power tools. The ideal candidate is safety‑focused, eager to learn, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with general shop and production duties as assigned
• Operate and safely use hand tools and power tools (grinders, drills, impact tools, etc.)
• Support disassembly and assembly of electric motors, pumps, and related equipment
• Clean, prep, and organize parts and components for repair or rebuild
• Perform basic mechanical tasks under the direction of experienced technicians
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety standards
• Assist with material handling including moving parts, loading/unloading, and staging materials
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures at all times
• Inspect tools and equipment to ensure proper working condition
• Support other departments as needed to meet production goals
