Job summary

Vonachen Group is seeking a General Laborer for 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) on-site in Illinois. You will operate power equipment, ensure high customer satisfaction, and support cleaning, maintenance, and safety tasks across the facility.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and training completion. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and 401(k). This role starts at $17 per hour with daily duties and shift expectations clearly defined.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Successfully pass training: Lock-Out-Tag-Out, Confined Spaces, Aerial Lifts, Forklift, Gator/Cart, Fall Protection, PPE, and Bloodborne Pathogens.

Responsibilities

• Run a sweeper/scrubber to clean factory floors.
• Safely operate a forklift.
• Operate industrial powered vehicles (e.g., golf carts or Gators).
• Operate aerial lifts to perform tasks above safe reach of a ladder.
• Operate pneumatic, battery powered and electric hand tools.
• Assist in building/equipment maintenance duties.
• Perform grounds maintenance services (e.g., landscaping and snow removal).
• Maintain a safe work environment following safety regulations.

Job Details

The General Laborer is responsible for operating industrial power equipment as needed to complete assigned tasks. This person is responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, providing high quality service levels, adhering to company policies, and assisting to provide a safe working environment. This person must be energetic, enthusiastic, and possess great interpersonal skills to work with a diverse group of people and maintain a strong commitment to customer service.

Job Responsibilities

• Run a sweeper/scrubber to clean factory floors
• Safely operate a forklift
• Operate industrial powered vehicles (e.g., golf carts or Gators)
• Operate aerial lifts to perform tasks above safe reach of a ladder (e.g., scissor lift, articulating lift)
• Operate, pneumatic, battery powered and electric hand tools
• Assist in the performance of building/equipment maintenance duties (e.g., recycling, painting, filter changes, fabrication machinery support, and coolant services)
• Perform grounds maintenance services (e.g., landscaping and snow removal)
• Maintain a safe work environment following all required safety regulations and protocols
• Complete other duties as assigned

  • Stand and walk for long periods of time; climb stairs

  • Work at heights to 40 feet
  • Able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
