Responsibilities

• Weighs and maintains identity of powders and performs basic weight calculations.
• Operates equipment such as presses, granulators, fitz mills, scales, ball mills and dryers.
• Coordinate ball milling, drying cycles and blending of ingredients per guidelines.
• Spot checks vibrator sieves to ensure quality and contamination-free product.
• Maintain inventories of powders and keep records up to date.
• Load and discharge ball mills and dryers; operate other equipment as needed.
• Observe safety and health regulations and keep the work area clean.

Job description

We are seeking a General Laborer for a manufacturing shop in Greensburg, PA

Duties

• Weighs and maintains identity of powders, performing simple mathematical calculations to determine weight of additives.
• Operates equipment such as presses, granulators, fitz mills, scales, ball mills and dryers.
• Co-ordinates ball milling, drying cycles and blending of correct proportions of ingredients of powder for ball milling, in accordance with pre-determined guidelines.
• Spot checks vibrator sieves to maintain quality and contamination-free product.
• Collects and granulates revert materials.
• Responsible for maintaining inventories of powders.
• Loads and discharges ball mills, discharges dryers.
• Operates other equipment such as heptane storage, condenser and vibrating screens, load and unload V-Blenders.
• Removes balls from ball mills, sorts and cleans and reloads as directed.
• Maintains files and records and answers inquiries regarding powder preparation.
• Performs routine maintenance and keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.
• Responsible for tools and fixtures used in work area and performs ancillary duties related to the powder preparation department.
• Performs ancillary duties related to the powder department.
• Observes safety and health regulations.
