Job summary

Job description

The Production Associate is responsible for supporting manufacturing and production operations by assembling products, operating equipment, performing quality inspections, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team to meet production goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform assigned production, assembly, packaging, and material handling tasks.
  • Operate manufacturing equipment and machinery according to established procedures.
  • Inspect products to ensure they meet quality specifications and report defects or issues.
  • Follow work instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Load, unload, and move materials throughout the facility as needed.
  • Maintain production records and complete required documentation accurately.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
  • Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, and minor troubleshooting.
  • Meet productivity, quality, and attendance expectations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in team meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand basic work instructions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, assembly, or production experience.
  • Experience operating production equipment or industrial machinery.
  • Forklift certification or experience (if applicable).
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.
  • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions involving hands, wrists, and arms.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and manufacturing conditions, depending on the facility.
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing or production facility environment.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as designated.
  • May require overtime, weekends, or shift work based on production demands.
