Murray Company in central Iowa is hiring a full-time commercial construction general laborer to support our projects across the region. You will work alongside a superintendent and contribute to demolition, cleanup, safety, and life safety measures.

This role requires a valid driver's license, dependable transportation, and willingness to travel to job sites; travel is reimbursed through our expense and premium program. We offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

We are hiring multiple start dates to meet our project needs for 2026 -2027.

Murray Company seeks a full-time commercial construction general laborer for our central Iowa location.

As a Murray Company laborer you will be involved in all areas of the construction process.You will work alongside a superintendent and help oversee, demolition, clean-up, safety, infection control measures and interim life safety measures.We are looking for people with an open mindset, a desire to learn new skills, meet new people, and make a difference in the communities in which we work.This position requires you to have a valid driver's license, dependable transportation, and willingness to travel to projects.The company will reimburse travel through our expense & premium program.

Skills & Qualifications include:

• Clean and prepare specific areas of the jobsite as assigned
• Clean and prepare specific areas of the jobsite as assigned. This may include digging trenches; erecting scaffolding; cleaning up rubble, debris, and trash; removing hazardous materials, cutting weeds, and sweeping.
• Operate a wide variety of hand and power tools
• Clean the jobsite at the end of the day, ensuring trash is properly disposed of and materials or equipment are properly stored
• Maintain an organized workspace and adhere to company safety policies
• Work towards continuous quality improvement
• Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures
• Travel required
• Valid driver's license and Satisfactory Driving Record
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
