Location and Position

Location: De Pere, WI
Position: General Laborer

Compensation and Scheduling

Pay: $26.02 /hr (9 paid holidays, 2 weeks of vacation & 2 Personal Holidays (prorated) after a 60‑day probation period)
Shift: Rotate 12‑hour shifts – work week is 48 hours
Overtime: Time and one half after 8 hours in a day
Shift differential: $0.90 for night shift

Responsibilities

• Set up machines for producing customers' orders.
• Troubleshoot and adjust equipment to ensure production quality exceeds customer standards.
• Set up new jobs and operate various types of paper manufacturing machinery.
• Collaborate closely with other departments and teams.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Perform all duties as designated by supervisor/manager.
• Support Sonoco’s quality and safety policies.
• Assist other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Mission driven and reliable; good initiative, commitment, and quality focus.
• Exceptional troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Working knowledge of Sonoco products and quality requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. individually and team lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions.
• Comfortable performing repetitive duties while standing for long periods on concrete floors.
• Previously operated manufacturing machinery (preferred).
• Prior forklift experience (preferred).
• Excellent teamwork in a fast‑paced environment.
• Fully available to work all shifts on a rotating schedule (12‑hour, 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am).
