Position Overview

As a member of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences Operations Team, the role of Operations Specialist will utilize its expertise to manage internal processes and systems while providing excellent customer service. The college includes students, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni, and health partners across Southern California. The role supports resource management, compliance, information distribution, personnel support, and event execution.

The college operates on five campuses with approximately 2,200 students and offers bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees.

Candidate Profile

We seek an efficient individual who thrives on change within a team, capable of prioritizing and multitasking while maintaining complex project schedules. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, provide outstanding customer service, and perform under supervision. The position is located at the Azusa Campus and reports to the Director of Operations, working closely with the Dean and other leaders.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or equivalent education and experience preferred.
  • Two years of experience in a client-based, service-oriented environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and systems.
  • Experience in higher education is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Resources
  • Manage systems for resource management, faculty data, onboarding, and related reports.
  • Support infrastructure and technology across sites.
Compliance
  • Assist in data collection and analysis for accreditation and administration.
  • Support policy communication and compliance efforts.
Information
  • Manage communications and information systems for stakeholders.
  • Generate reports to inform leadership.
Personnel
  • Oversee applicant tracking, onboarding, and faculty systems.
Budget and Requisition
  • Support purchasing, expense reports, and invoice processing.
Events
  • Coordinate large events and liaise with university services.
General Support
  • Suggest process improvements, support marketing efforts, and provide administrative support.
Skills and Qualities
  • Proficiency in relevant software (Google Suite, Microsoft Office, etc.).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Compensation and Benefits

Grade 10: $25.94 to $29.83 hourly, with a comprehensive benefits package. Actual pay may vary based on experience and internal equity.
