Job summary

MasTec Communications Group in the United States is hiring a General Laborer to support all phases of utility construction for telecom projects. You’ll perform trenching, material handling, site prep, and field tasks outdoors.

You will build and maintain aerial and underground cable systems, troubleshoot in the field, train on tools, and work as part of a team on long-term projects.

Responsibilities

As a General Laborer, you will support all phases of utility construction for various types of telecom projects.

In addition, you will:

• Be responsible for various manual tasks such as digging trenches, unloading building materials, and preparing job sites with the use of hand tools like shovels, rakes, and picks
• Work in outdoor utility construction sites
• Build and maintain aerial and underground cable systems
• Troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field
• Learn and train to use various kinds of tools and equipment
