Job summary

NTN Bearing Corporation in Elgin, IL is seeking a General Labor-Production worker to support automated assembly lines, perform line loading, repacking, visual inspection and sorting of parts. You will operate pallet jacks, transfer materials, supply components to conveyors, load parts to machines and inspect finished parts.

Overtime and a steady fast-paced environment are expected. Starting wage is $17.00 per hour with second shift differential of $2.50 and third shift differential of $3.00 per

Job Title: General Labor-Production

Summary

Assist in the safe production of quality products by ensuring parts are moved through the production process efficiently and checked for quality. This includes:

• Line loading
• Repacking
• Visual Inspection
• Sorting

Starting Wage

$17.00

We offer a 2nd shift differential of $2.50 per hour and 3rd shift differential of $3.00 per hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow all company rules and regulations related to environmental, health, and safety.
• Safely operate pallet jacks to lift and transfer materials from one place to another.
• Supply components to hoppers, indexing poles or conveyors.
• Load parts from the basket to machine conveyor.
• Remove finished parts from the machines. Inspect as necessary and pack properly.
• Visually inspect components and parts for defects, sort and disassemble defect parts.

Work Environment

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts; hazards common to industrial settings; chemicals, vibration, and loud noises.
• Safety shoes, safety glasses, chemical resistant gloves and bump caps for this position must be worn on the production floor. Other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
• Jobs on the production floor require a minimum 40-hour workweek. Overtime may be required.
• The pace of work is steady and fast.
• Employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
• The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• This position requires sufficient vision to see details at close range, so the person can pass an inspection test of finished parts and components.
