Job summary

MCC is seeking a Packaging Associate for 2nd and 3rd shifts to help ensure quality labels and efficient production lines in Provo, Utah.

You will monitor print and seam quality, splice and handle rolls, perform basic data entry in Globetek or equivalent, and support continuous improvement projects.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Experience or knowledge of lithographic, flexographic, or digital printing preferred.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Continuously checks for print and seam quality.
• Removes defective material and splices the roll web per specification.
• Uses a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during splicing procedure.
• Handles rolls and palletizes to prevent damage.
• Records data on paperwork and in the company system (Globetek).
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Continuously checks for print and seam quality.
• Removes defective material and splices the roll web back together per the specification.
• Utilizes a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during splicing procedure (tools are used at other times as necessary).
• Handles rolls and palletizes them accordingly as to not cause damage to them.
• Must understand basic printing and seam related defects.
• Recording and entering data on designated paperwork as well as in the company operation system (Globetek)
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned

• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience or in-depth knowledge of lithographic, flexographic, or digital printing preferred
• The physical demands require standing, using hands to feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.
• This position requires frequent walking.
• Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Continuous eye concentration.
