Job summary

Basalite Building Products, LLC in the Western United States is seeking a Production Assistant to support multiple departments in a busy plant. The role emphasizes integrity, safety, and quality while maintaining a professional demeanor and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities include operating and observing machinery, loading/unloading, batching, and following safety guidelines. Prior manufacturing exposure and strong reading/writing skills are advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school education or the equivalent.
• On-the-job training experience required to perform duties.
• Manufacturing production machinery experience preferred.
• Basic reading, writing and mathematical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to act professionally and remain calm in high-stress situations.
• Ability to operate block machine, cuber, loader, unloader, crawler and other equipment.

$20.00 - $21.50 per hour DOE - Open shift availability required

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Paver/Block Superintendent, this position supports both departments and in all areas of production; and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.
