Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking an Assembler I in Livermore Falls, ME to fabricate component parts and assemble finished products per customer specifications. The role involves ensuring the correct parts and supplies are available and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Responsibilities include setting up work areas, assembling parts per instructions, operating hand tools, and recording production data. The position emphasizes safety, quality, and adherence to procedures, with a discretionary annual

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
  • 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Operates hand tools to complete assembly.
  • Stacks completed products and labels/bands components when required.
  • Keeps work area safe, clean, and organized; ensures equipment is safe to operate.
  • Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports issues.
  • Maintains production records as required.
  • Checks materials and finished products for standards compliance.
  • Performs duties per safety and quality procedures; participates in safety and CI meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Assembler I is responsible for fabricating component parts or assembling the finished product according to the customer's specifications. Secures and maintains correct component parts and supplies required for the operation.

Principle Duties And Responsibilities
  • Completes work area setup
  • Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and in accordance with quality standards
  • Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process
  • Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label, and band components finished product
  • Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate
  • Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
  • Maintains production records as required
  • Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards
  • Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards
  • Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED preferred but not required
  • No minimum experience is required however, 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience is preferred
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Hourly Pay Range: $17.00 - $19.00 dollars an hour dependent on experience*

  • pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living
