Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts or assemble finished products according to customer specifications. You will secure and prepare materials required for the operation and ensure accuracy of assemblies.

This role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork in a manufacturing environment in Fredericksburg, Virginia, with an hourly pay range of $18.00–$20.00 depending on experience.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Completes work area setup
  • Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and in accordance with quality standards
  • Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process
  • Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label, and band components finished product
  • Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate
  • Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
  • Maintains production records as required
  • Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards
  • Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards
  • Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process
  • Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label, and band components finished product
  • Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate

Qualifications

Hourly $18.00- $20.00 dependent on experience.
