Job summary

FurstStaffing seeks a General Laborer for 3rd shift in Loves Park, IL. Pay is $18.60 per hour with a 48-hour week on Mon/Tue, Fri/Sat and a 36-hour week Sun/Wed/Thu on an alternating schedule.

You will train to run equipment, operate a packaging line, inspect products, weigh materials, feed gums into machines, move items and maintain a clean, safe work area while communicating effectively with teammates.

• Good visual inspection and handwriting.

Job description

General Laborer - 3rd shift, alternate work schedule at the company. Pay $18.60 per hour. Work hours run 5:30 pm-6:00 am or 5:00 pm-5:30 am, with a 48-hour week (Mon & Tue, Fri & Sat) alternating with a 36-hour week (Sun, Wed & Thu).

Key Responsibilities:

• Train to run various equipment and machine operation
• Operate packaging line: hand packing, sorting, labeling, stacking, off-loading
• Inspect product and packaging visually and physically
• Weigh raw material
• Feed gum into machines
• Transport product and material
• Wipe down product materials and equipment
• Maintain housekeeping of work area
• Communicate courteously and effectively

Qualifications:

• Stand throughout shift excluding break periods
• Lift up to 42 pounds
• Reach, bend, twist, push, pull, walk up and down stairs
• Have visual ability to inspect product and packaging
• Legible handwriting
