Job summary

JW Hicks, Inc. in Knox, Indiana is seeking a production welder to join our growing team. We offer a Monday-Friday day shift with some overtime on Saturdays and competitive pay as we manufacture refractory products.

Qualified candidates have 1 year welding experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. while operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and ERP data entry.

Qualifications

• 1 year welding experience.
• Mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. consistently throughout shift.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment physical and drug screen prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Weld and fabricate products as indicated on mechanical drawings.
• Operate cutting tools and grinders to prepare components.
• Maintain raw material and product identification and record data into ERP system.
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials and work in progress.
