Job summary

Qualified Staffing in Lapeer is seeking entry-level general laborers to join a gauges/fixtures/dies and piping manufacturing team. 1st Shift, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, Monday–Friday, $15 per hour. Submit a complete resume with full work history and be prepared to read a tape measure.

Candidates must read English, communicate clearly, follow instructions, and work well in a team with good attendance. Basic math and tape measure reading up to 1/16 inch are required.

Responsibilities

• Lift and handle parts up to 25lbs during a typical 9-hour shift.
• Bend, stoop and stretch to move parts into baskets or on racks.
• Be flexible to move between tasks and perform floor checks as needed.
• Maintain part identification throughout the process.
• Keep the work area clean and tools/equipment properly stored.
• Follow company rules and engagement regulations.
• Follow dress code: no protruding jewelry; proper footwear required.

Job description

1. Normal operations include being able to properly lift and handle parts up to 25lbs consistently throughout an average workday of nine hours.
2. Job requires bending, stooping and stretching on a regular basis to move or position parts into baskets and/or on racks.
3. Be flexible in job duty: go from one job to another without difficulty performing random and/or scheduled floor checks of production parts.
4. Maintain part identification throughout process.
5. Maintain cleanliness in work area; put tools and/or equipment in proper location.
6. Follow the rules and company regulations as stated upon engagement.
7. Must follow dress code; no jewelry: earrings, necklaces or rings that protrude above finger; no loose or torn clothing, shorts or sleeveless shirts; proper footwear of heavy soled leather work boot, or leather steel-toe boots.
