Job summary

International Paper is seeking a General Labor associate at our Minneapolis operations. The role requires following safety rules, operating machinery, reading orders and performing basic shop math while ensuring quality and housekeeping in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Shifts are 1st shift, Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:00pm, with overtime as needed. The pay rate is $22.26 per hour, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak English proficiently.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Reading factory orders and basic shop math required.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

The Job You Will Perform

• Follow all safety rules and practices
• Safely operate machinery
• Read factory orders
• Utilize basic shop math such as accurately reading tape measures, gauges and other testing equipment
• Consistent quality and count inspection of finished product
• Housekeeping to include blowing down of machinery, wiping off shafts, cleaning ink systems, sweeping the machine area, as well as picking up and shredding scrap
• Complete quality and administrative document checks with accuracy to ensure specific directions are followed
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

• Ability to work with a safety first mindset and actively participate in our safety culture
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have a stable work history
• Previous work in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English
